Shorten the Wiki URL to http://wiki.opensourceecology.de/Hauptseite (currently it is http://wiki.opensourceecology.de/wiki/Hauptseite)

Should be possible. e.g. die Piraten.

Of course that’s possible. I don’t want to do it right now, FYI: Have a look at the vHost config and url_rewrite functions for Apache/htaccess. Search for mediawiki urlrewrite and follow a suitable tutorial.

there are quite some links to the wiki.of the format „o…y.de/wiki/pagename“ which are broken as the url was shortened. Did you try to add a rewrite rule to the webserver?

Perfect Tony. Wegkürzen ist prima. Funktioniert das auch anders herum, einen Server erweitern , kann man ihn so vermehren? Das wär doch mal was für einen Science fiction Roman - willst du einen schreiben? :wink:

Just also changed the Wind Turbine redirection link to http://wiki.opensourceecology.de/Wind_Turbine . At first I accidentally pointed it to http://wiki.opensourceecology.de/Wind_Turbine/ and that unfortunately was not a direct hit. Not that we have to change that - it’s enough to be aware of it.
